Rumors have it that with the optimization by some "turtle bosses," the capabilities of the GFW have been further enhanced. Currently, common solutions include TLS in TLS and fingerprint recognition, which pose risks of blocking or banning. In response, the Xray-core team has introduced two innovative technical solutions: Vision and Reality. Referring to the introduction below, some tests were conducted:

After setting up the test nodes, the most commonly used tool on the iOS side, Shadowrocket, was used to add nodes. The connectivity test was okay, but when trying to access some websites, they could not be opened normally. Looking at the log, the error message contained the following phrase:

Searching with this keyword yielded few results, and there were no reliable answers.
Considering that the version of Xray is relatively new, the TF version of Shadowrocket was upgraded and tried, but still could not connect to websites normally. In distress, seeing the recommended clients for various platforms at the end of the link, two new tools for iOS were prepared to try: #V2BOX and #FoXray. These two tools were truly heard of for the first time. The interface of V2BOX is relatively pleasing, tried it, but the problem persisted.
So a simple question was posted in the Telegram group, and shortly after, a kind person gave a suggestion: "The server-side and client-side versions should be consistent." Looking at Shadowrocket, no Xray-related version information was found, then checked the version information of V2BOX, which described Xray as 1.8.0. Checking the server-side, it was 1.8.1, indeed inconsistent. Considered downgrading the server-side version, but looking at the downgrade list, only version 1.7.5 was available, tried downgrading to 1.7.5, but the problem persisted. Thinking of giving up, tried FoXray on a whim, unexpectedly it worked. 😲😲
Consider it a temporary solution for now. However, such a selective version approach may not be suitable for ordinary users. Hopefully, it will become more and more perfect in the future.
